Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co: Montgomery, TX
During our winter 2024 travel we spent a few days near Lake Conroe just northwest of Houston. On a cold windy day we ventured out to the Houston Woodlands area to walk and shop. On the way back to our RV we found Frankenboltzzzz Brewing, housed in a garage type facility. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. There was only one other customer at the time as they had just opened for the day. Ambiance gets a 3.

Frankenboltzzzz had nine taps, with mostly darker, heavier beer. I had the YPW Premium, a Blonde Ale and Tim had the Azacca Smash an American IPA which he rated 4/5 in Untappd. Selection gets a 3.
As for branding, I really like the primary image and color theme. The digital tap sign had individual imagery, and the icons show up on their website but TINY. The names are funny, and they have a Mel Brooks series. We asked him about the name, and he really just wanted Boltz Brewing, but that name was already taken somewhere, so he came up with Frakenboltzzzz. Never found out why so many Zs. As for stickers - he gave us a small one for free at first, then the more we talked I guess we deserved the big one - again for free. Cute, active Instagram. Branding gets a 3.
We paid $6 for my pint and $7 for Tim’s. Price gets a 3.
