Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Silver Basin Brewing

Silver Basin Brewing: Montrose, CO
Irish Cream Ale and Honey Blonde

During our stay in Montrose, CO we stopped in at Silver Basin Brewing, a newer brewery.  They have an awesome indoor space in an old restored building and I just loved the decor and the exposed brick.  Out back is an amazing porch complete with misters, a welcome treat on  on a 90 degree day.  Trivia every Tuesday!  Even though it just opened and there was not a ton of patrons yet, I give Ambiance a 4.

Selection was pretty limited and two of their taps were out.  That’s always disappointing to see with a new business.  I had the Honey Blonde which was nice and cold, could definitely taste the honey.  Tim had the Cream Ale which he rated 3.5/5 on Untappd.  Selection gets a 2.

As for Branding, it was pretty limited. Even a month after our visit the website still says 'under construction', and while they do have an Instagram it is mostly used to announce events. I did get one of their nice stickers for free by trading one from firetruck brewing.  Branding gets a 2.

We paid $6 for each for our pints, Price gets a 4.
