Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Lovelady Brewing Company

Lovelady Brewing Company:  Henderson, NV

9th Island, a pineapple sour

In the historic Water Street district of Henderson, you'll find Lovelady Brewing Company.   I really do love the story of Lovelady - it's actually the family's name.  From their website: The Lovelady Family has strong roots in the Henderson community dating back to the early 1950s. We are eager to give back to the community that gave us our roots.

Nice small downtown vibe.  A nice outdoor seating area right off the street - great people watching.   It was a Tuesday afternoon, pretty quiet.  Ambiance gets a 2.

Lovelady's selection is decent, with year round offerings and seasonal taps.  To Tim’s delight they had several sours.  I had the Golden Nites (play on the Golden Nights) a Mexican Lager - which was refreshing.  Tim had the 9th Island Pineapple Sour which he rated 4/5 in Untapped.  Selection gets a 3.

There is individual beer branding and several were made into canvas prints used as décor.  These are creative, however some inconsistency in treatment.  Their Instagram page is active, however no overall design strategy.  Limited merchandise, all with the company logo vs. leveraging their beer designs.  The sticker, pretty simple, was $2.  Branding gets a 3, and I think with some overall design strategy could be a 4.
