Winter 24: A Month in Texas

HUDL Brewing Company

HUDL Brewing Company: Las Vegas, NV

Mosquito Bite, a Mexican Cerveza and the Vanilla Oak Cream Ale

On brewery row just down the road from Able Baker Brewing, we found HUDL Brewing Company, another brewery in the growing Las Vegas arts district.  HUDL has a great outdoor seating area, right next to a wonderfully smelling BBQ.  HUDL has a very friendly staff and they let us sample a few and offered suggestions.  There was a great mix of people all ages great vibe.  Ambiance gets a 4.

HUDL has a very wide selection, with a nice variety of flavors.  I had the Mosquito Bite,  Mexican Cerveza with jalapeƱo peppers.  I do like a spicy beer and this one did not disappoint.  Tim had the Vanilla Oak Cream Ale, which he rated as a 4 out of 5 in Untapped.  Selection gets a  4.

As for branding, I think HUDL could do more.  I was frustrated we couldn't find any reference for how the name originated.  We asked the bartender and his response was it's like 'huddle together'.  Hmmm.  Some individual branding, but not leveraged enough.  These are hard to see even on their website.  Limited merchandise - see the display case below.  They do have an interesting website, and their Instagram is active, but lacking a visual strategy.  The sticker was $2.  Branding gets a 3.

The Mexican Ale was $7 for a 12oz, Tim’s was $7, again a smaller pour for the specialty ale.  Price gets a 2.  Overall a good place to enjoy a tap!
