Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Busted Knuckle Brewery

Busted Knuckle Brewery; Glasgow, MT

Our second overnight stop on our Glacier NP adventure, we stopped in Glasgow, MT, where we found the only brewery in town, Busted Knuckle Brewery

Busted Knuckle is just east of the small downtown area, in what looks like (or they tried to make it look like it) an old auto repair shop.   Very friendly bartender.  Ambiance gets a 3.

The brewery has a fairly decent selection, and I like that they identify which taps are year-round vs. seasonal.  They have a wide variety, from shandys to blonde ales. I had the Farmer's Tan Pilsner Lager, I found a nice mix of the two.  Tim had the Middle of Nowhere Raspberry Blonde Ale which he liked, giving it 4.25/5 in his Untapped App.   And we shared the Halle Berry, which is a mix of the Raspberry Blonde and the Jalapeno Amber - so a little sweet and spicy.  Tim gave this one a 4/5.  Selection gets a 3.

There is no individual beer branding, although they do have interesting names.  They charged $2 for stickers.  Their website is visually appealing, with nice imagery, however limited information.  It doesn't show any live or special events.  Branding gets a 2.

A pint was only $4, and a 3-pack of crowlers was only $17, some of the lowest we've ever seen.  Price gets a 4.

It looks like they're adding outdoor seating, which will be a great add during the short summers in northern Montana.  Overall a great find, especially in the middle of nowhere.
