On the way back south after a road trip to visit the Angle Inlet, we stopped in at Snarky Loon Brewing, a Veteran-owned brewery about 30 miles north of Brainerd, MN. We joined a smaller group at the bar enjoying the soup of the day. Lively conversation and really great Halloween decorations. Atmosphere gets a 3.
Snarky Loon has a good mix of rotating taps, with many in smaller batches. They release a new FIRKIN every Friday of just five gallons each week, which was gone when we visited. Both of us had the Ale-titude, a Cream Ale. Tim rated it highly at a 4.25/5 on Untappd. Selection gets a 3.
Snarky Loon does have some individual brew imagery on their cans, however it's not really leveraged anywhere else. Really like the 'snarky' approach to the tap names. They had a decent selection of up north merchandise. Their website and Instagram are pretty basic. Love their 'about us' on their website. One of the best stickers ever, and only $1. Branding gets a 3.
Prices for food were fair, and the tap was $6.50. Price gets a 3.
