Our last brewery in Estes Park was Lumpy Ridge Brewery, named after Lumpy Ridge, a massive granite rock outcropping that’s been sculpted by wind and erosion over the last 1.8 billion years. We visited their Tap House, in a cool location off the main drag in a renovated gas station, which looked about as nice as a rennovated gas station could. Lots of energy, and a passing rain shower made for a cozy situation in the small indoor space. If you're in your 30's and want a place to take your kids it's alright, but if you want a quiet brew, not so much. Atmosphere gets a 2.
Selection was pretty limited, with taps on the extremes, including stouts, IPAs and sours. I got the Doses & Mimosas, a mimosa sour and Tim got the Lumpy Ridge IPA which he rated 3/5 on Untappd. Selection gets a 2.
As for branding, I do see a hint of some individual brew branding online, but nothing in the tap house. I didn't see any naming strategy. They did have a free sticker with a decent design. We saw no merchandise, their website is pretty basic, and while their Instagram is fairly active, there is no real visual strategy. Branding gets a 2.
We paid $5 for the 5oz mimosa sour, $8 for the IPA pint. Price gets a 2.
