Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Main Street Brewery

Main Street Brewery: Cortez, CO

Honey Raspberry Wheat and Third Base Blonde

During our Seven National Parks road trip, our sixth National Park was Mesa Verde and we stayed right off Main St. in Cortez, Colorado.  We could walk to the Main Street Brewery, housed in historic 100+ year old building with a classic bar.  We love an old school bar.  Atmosphere gets a 4.

They have an average of 14 selections on tap with a wide variety.  I had the Honey Raspberry Wheat, an enjoyable option and Tim had the Third Base Blonde, a blonde ale, which he rated as 3.75/5 on Untappd.  Selection gets a 4.

There is no individual branding for beers - they do differentiate their taps by the color of the can and have funky tap handles.  A little merchandise, mostly t-shirts.  Their website is so-so, pretty basic and their Instagram is lacking in visual strategy.  We do love their logo/motto "Avoid heart attacks - DRINK BEER".  Branding gets a 2.

Prices were average, rating it a 3.
