Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Estes Park Brewery

Estes Park Brewery: Estes Park, CO

Long's Peak Raspberry Wheat and Bear Lake Blueberry Wheat

Our second brewery stop during our stay in Estes Park was the aptly named Estes Park Brewery, just across the street from Rock Cut.  This was more like a bar/restaurant, with a somewhat confusing two-story layout.  Friendly staff makes up for it a bit.  I always love a bench made out of skis.  Atmosphere gets a 3.

Estes Park had 11 taps with a wide variety. However, looks like don’t change much as the list is printed in their menu. I had the Bear Lake Blueberry Wheat with real blueberries and Tim had the Long's Peak Raspberry Wheat, again with real berries.  We both enjoyed our taps; Tim rated his 3.75/5 in Untappd.  Selection gets a 3.

Estes Park Brewery has tons of merchandise, but not really presented well. Just racks and racts of t-shirts and sweatshirts.  They do have individual images for their beers, but you don't see that anywhere in the bar, and the website even has super small images of their beers. I do however love the beer names including Redrum IPA, The Shining Pale Ale, (the Stanley Hotel, used in The Shining, is in Estes Park).  Estes Park Brewery's website is decent, just not as visual as it could be.  I could not locate an Instagram account.  Their logo is quite colorful, and we received their free sticker.  Branding gets a 2.

We paid $7.50 for a pint, average for area. We also ordered an appetizer, and most of the food on the menu was very overpriced, even for Estes Park. Price gets a 2.
