Winter 24: A Month in Texas

St. John Brewers

St. John Brewers: USVI, St. John
Mango Shandy and Tropiocal Mango Pale Ale

About 15 minutes after the ferry from St. Thomas dropped us off, we were sitting on the deck at St. John Brewers enjoying a cool one.  After 72 hours of travel, it was well deserved.

The tap room is upstairs in a shopping area called Mongoose Junction.  The indoor sitting area is kind of small but welcoming, and there is a great little patio out back that we opted to enjoy.  Ambiance gets a 4.  Hey, we were in the Virgin Islands, everthing gets a 4.

The brewery had a decent amount with 16 taps at the time with a great variety including Love City Hard Seltzers.  I had the Mango Shandy which was quite delightful and Tim had the Tropical Mango Pale Ale which he rated 4.25/5.  While in Rome, I guess.  Selection gets a 4.

St. John Brewers has some images for their taps,  and possibly the most varied merchandise we've ever seen, with a separate store below the tap room.  Their website is quite robust, featuring their taps as well as their food.  Their Instagram is also quite robust, with great imagery.  Branding gets a 4.

Most pints are $6, with some stouts or IPAs at $7.  Price gets a 4.  Again, everything is expensive on the island, so like I said, everything gets a 4.
