Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Four Peaks Brewing

Four Peaks Brewing: Tempe AZ

Peach Ale

Continuing our brewery visits in the Phoenix area, we found Four Peaks Brewing in the Tempe area.  Four Peaks has several locations, and the one we visited had a really great outdoor space as well as a fairly large indoor space including a large area for merchandise.  Beertender and wait staff were super friendly.  Ambiance gets a 4.

Tap selection at Four Peaks is quite large and varied.  We both sampled two brews, and although I really liked both, I ended up with the Peach Ale, which was very refreshing after a morning hike.  Tim had The Joy Bus Wow Wheat, one of their standards, and rated it a 4.25/5 in Untapped. Tim also had the Peach Ale giving it a 4/5. The Wow Wheat was served at other locations in the area, so Tim had this one several times. Selection gets a 4.

Four Peaks definitely does it right when it comes to branding, with beer specific imagery for both the regular taps as well as seasonal.  They have the most varied merchandise we've ever seen, and although I enjoyed shopping, most items were fairly high priced. They had the most sticker options I've ever seen at a brewery, and again kind of pricey at $3.50 but awful cute.I did snag a cute button up shirt on clearance!  Their website and Instagram are both robust, with a definite strategy.  Branding gets a 4.

At $7 a pint, price is about average for the Phoenix area - Price gets a 3.  Overall a great find in the Phoenix suburbs.  And the food is AMAZING!  Try the brussel sprouts!
