Lake Placid Pub & Brewery: Lake Placid, NY
After a rigourous 2.5 hour hike on Balanced Rock Trail, we drove back to Lake Placid and found Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, which is across the street from the lake. Indoor is old school pub atmosphere and outdoor offered plenty of seating and a wonderful place to rest our legs. Ambiance gets a 4.
Selection at Lake Placid Brewery is decent with eleven taps and a wonderful variety of tastes. I had the ‘Ecto’ berfest - great reward after a long hike. Tim had the Mango Sour giving it a 3.25/5 in Untapped. Selection gets a 3.
As for branding, they probably don’t need to do anything as they have a prime location. No individual branding but they do have a great logo with their iconic red chair. Quite a bit of merchandise and a wide variety of options as far as clothing and gifts in their store and online. They have a robust website and an active Instagram. The sticker (one of my favorites!) was $1. Branding gets a 3.
A flight of five generous pours was $12.50, and a pint was $7, average for area. Price gets a 3.
