Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Backyard Brewery & Kitchen

Backyard Brewery & Kitchen: Manchester, NH

Our diverse flight
Backyard Brewery & Kitchen is a busy, fairly large restaurant brewery, with a great vibe and very friendly staff.  We were seated right away, and later found out it was music trivia night! Ambiance gets a 4.

Selection at Backyard Brewery is somewhat limited yet a good variety.   We started with a flight that included a sour, an IPA, a pumpkin spiced ale, and a Saison.  We both liked two of the four, so it worked out well.  I then had a pint of the sour, Bomb Pom, as it was super sour.  Tim rated the flight beers as follows; Bomb Pom Sour 2.75/5, Lazy Daze IPA 3/5, Oh My Gourd 2.5/5, Soltice Dry Hopped Saison 3.25/5. Tim also had a pint of the Lawnmower Lager Helles, 3/5. Selection gets a 3.

As for Branding, I thought I saw some artwork that would indicate they had individual imagery for their brews, but don't see it anywhere online nor did we see when we were there.  Their website is decent, but we really love to see that individual branding.  Instagram is colorful, lacking a bit of visual strategy.  Stickers were free!  Branding gets a 3.

A 16 ounce tap was $6.50, slightly lower than we had seen in the area. Price gets a 3.  Overall a fun place to stop and have a brew and a bite to eat.
