Mango Lemon Shandy and Vengeance, a jalapeño cream ale

Jack Pine Brewery was our first stop on a camping trip to central and northern Minnesota, and we were so glad to find the parking lot had room for us to easily park our new fifth wheel. As we pulled in, there were people actually waiting at the doors for it to open!  Jack Pine has a nice, modern woodsy indoor space and great patio. Ambiance gets a 4.

Jack Pine had 27 taps wide variety from Hoppy IPAs & Pales to Malty and Amber Ales, to fruity taps and sour as well as 'unique' beers.   We promised ourselves we'd try flights more often before selecting a full pint.  Even after trying the five taps on our flight, I will had Vengeance, a jalapeño cream ale I had first tried at my neighbors last year.  You can smell the jalapeño as you take your first sip.  Tim had the Mango Lemon Shandy he rated as a 4.25/5 on Untapped.  Selection gets a 4.

Jack Pine definitely leverages the northern Minnesota vibe to the fullest.  While their website and Instagram are pretty basic,  there is no overall visual strategy and they do not have individual imagery for their beers.  Some of the names are cool however I don't like that some are just the name of flavor vs. having an actual name, e.g., Mango Lemon Shandy and Vengeance.  Branding gets a 3.

Price - most pints are $6, however the Vengeance is slightly more at $6 for a snifter (12oz).  Stickers were pricey, but nicer quality for sure. Price gets a 3.  Overall we'd definitely visit again!
