Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Pint Nine Brewing Company

Pint Nine Brewing Company; Omaha, NE

Karate Monkey, a Kolsh
To our delight, right next door to Kros Strain we found Pint Nine Brewing.  As brewery fans we felt obligated to stop in.

Pint Nine is in an industrial area with outdoor seating and smaller than it's neighbor Kros Strain.  The interior is unique in that you can’t see their brewery operations which is a bit unusual and makes the space feel somewhat closed in, yet cozy.  I did see an awesome version of the Big Lebowski on the wall which made me chuckle as we had just watched it with our son Christmas weekend.  It was closer to quitting time so there were a few more people in Pint Nine with a good buzz.  And even though it was chilly weather we saw a couple of bikers (bicycles) there.  Atmosphere gets a 3.

Pint Nine has a wide variety, including Double IPA to Wheats and Stouts.  I had the Karate Monkey, a Kolsch which I found very tasty.  Tim had Vice Hefeweizen, a Classic German Wheat with banana and clove, and he rated it a 3 in Untapped.  Selection gets a 3.

There is no individual beer branding, and all crowlers use the company logo.  Pint Nine's website is pretty basic, and I love the story of how their name was selected.  Their Instagram site is also basic, yet fairly active.  It's little things like their website doesn't link to Instagram that could take Pint Nine to the next level.  They do have a wall of colorful t-shirts for merchandise, again, all using variations of the company logo.  Stickers were $1.  Branding gets a 2.

Pints were $6 which is average, so Price gets a 3.  Overall a nice brewery with potential.
