Just down the road from our campsite in Cape Canaveral, we met our friends at Florida Beer Company. I had the Carib Lager, while Tim had the Hurricane Reef IPA on tap 6.5% IBU 70. We both enjoyed our taps.
As it was a nice day, we wanted to be outside however at the time the only seating was crappy low picnic tables on rocks facing industrial buildings. Inside in addition to the featured central, circular bar and high tops, there were a few couches.
As for branding, their logo clearly shows Florida, and their beers each have interesting graphics. With names like Hurricane Reef IPA, Key West Sunset Ale, Sunshine State Lager and Conchtoberfest, they've done a good job of leveraging Florida namesakes in their brand. With that said, the Swamp Ape appears to be very popular, and while there are definitely swamps in Florida, it seems a bit out of place.
From a price perspective both of our taps were $6, again, pretty average.
Overall, an enjoyable visit with our friends with some tasty brews.
