Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company; Gulfport, MS

During the four day stay in Biloxi, MS of our Florida Rally Road Trip we ventured out to Chandeleur Island Brewing Company Named after the 50 miles of uninhabited islands along the coast of Mississippi, home to some of the best redfish and speckled trout fishing on the planet.  The brewery is located in a warehouse district that appears to be growing and filling in nicely.  There was a solo musician playing indoors, and we were able to sit outdoors, nice for a warm afternoon.  However, the food truck parked right next to the outdoor seating started its generator after about 15 minutes and ran it until we left.

I had the Freemason, which is a Golden Ale.  Very tasty and went well with the pretzels I purchased.  Tim started with the H90 Wheat with a hint of pineapple, and it went down fast. So good he bought a six pack to bring back to our camper. Tim then had the Cherry Lane, which he also thought was very tasty.  Also sampled the Tart Island, also good.  If we had time, would have come back here again.

As for branding - very interesting and detailed imagery for each of their brews.  This is first brewery website I've seen where they actually post the artwork for download of each of the cans, the logo, and the handle taps.  I almost bought one of the long sleeved fishing shirt.

From a price perspective most of the taps were $5-6,  just about average.

If we're ever in Gulfport again, this one is definitely on the list to revisit!
