On our way south for the winter of 2024, we first stopped just south of Kansas City and made our way to Transparent Brewing. We were welcomed and briefed on where to order food at Chive, the in house farm to market option, and where we could grab a beer. It has a small indoor space, a decent outdoor space and was pretty lively for a Tuesday late afternoon. Very nice beertender! Atmosphere gets a 4.
Transparent has a good mix of rotating taps, however a pretty small selection. I had the Kickstand Kolsch and Tim had the Lucent Galaxies Pale Ale which he rated as 3.5/5 on Untappd. Selection gets a 2.
Transparant has some great brew imagery on their cans and an attempt to reflect that on their tap signs done in chalk. They did have one of the images on their FB page, but nothing in Instagram or the website. They had a decent selection of basic t-shirts for merchandise, and a free sticker! Their website is pretty basic, but their Instagram has a bit more dynamic. Branding gets a 3.
Prices for food were fair (we had the Spicy Asian Brussels Sprouts and a meat and cheese platter), and the tap was $6. Price gets a 3.
