Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Bad Weather Brewing Company

Bad Weather Brewing Company: St. Paul, MN

Passionfruit Anomaly and Grapefruit LIGHTning

We were in St. Paul to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a few hours to kill so we stopped in at Bad Weather Brewing Company, just off hiway 5.   Along this stretch of road there are over ten breweries!  Bad Weather has a really nice indoor and open 'garage door' access to their outdoor space. Ambiance gets a 4.

Bad Weather has a good variety, with 15 taps at the time of our visit.  I had the Grapefruit LIGHTning, a Grapefruit Infused Low Calorie Light Ale which was quite refreshing.  Tim had the Passionfruit Anomaly, a Passionfruit Infused Kettle Sour Ale, which he rated 4/5 on Untappd.  Selection gets a 4.

Bad Weather has a good website, with individually branded and creatively named beers as well as nice visuals.  Their Instagram also has a nice overall design, with a clear strategy.  They had limited merchandise on display with an all black theme.  Branding gets a 3 simply due to the limited merchandise.

We paid $7 for a pint, average for the cities. Price gets a 3.

Overall we really liked Bad Weather, especially since it's so close to where our friends live!
