Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Brotherwell Brewing

Brotherwell Brewing: Waco, TX

Bridge St. Wit and A.o.F. Radler Shandy

On a Tuesday afternoon we journeyed just north of the Brazos to Brotherwell Brewing, set in the middle of a warehouse district.  There's a large indoor space, and a huge outdoor seating area made up of mostly picnic tables.  Orginal grafitti art adorns the fences outside.  There were only a few other patrons, super quiet.  Ambiance gets a 2.

Selection at Brotherwell is very limited.  I had the A.o.F. Radler Shandy - which is their Act of Faith Belgian Tripel mixed with lemonade.  Refreshing. Tim had the Bridge St. Wit, a wheat beeer he rated 3.5/5 on Untapped.  Selection gets a 2.

While there are individual beer graphics focused primarily on the logo with different backgrounds, it's not the most creative we've seen.  I don't detect any theme or logic to their brew names.  They had a very small selection of merchandise, including glasses and mugs.  Their website is very basic and could definitely use more images. Their Instagram site is fairly active advertising the weekly events.  Free stickers!  Branding gets a 2.

We paid $7 for a pint, which seems a little high but is similar to other breweries in the area.  Price gets a 3.  Overall a quiet visit - would be interesting to see Brotherwell when they have their Eastside Market.
