Fossil Cove Brewing Company: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Blackberry Cream Ale |
Fossil Cove Brewing Company is located in the northern part of Fayetteville, tucked away in an older, industrial area of town. The brewery itself has a decent amount of indoor seating, with ample seating outdoors as well. Nice vibe, with a younger crowd. Ambiance gets a 4.
Their selection is very robust, with eight year-round beers, and a "seasonal, limited and one-off releases featuring local artists’ take on dinosaurs in a beer filled world". As of this writing, the seasonal list included 6 taps. I had the Birch Avenue Blonde, while Tim had the Blackberry Cream Ale, which he rated as a 3.75/5 on Untapped. Selection gets a 4.
Fossil Cove has a really great, visually interesting branding for several of their taps, and the other branding has a somewhat 'prehistoric' feel. Their website is very nice, clean, and features large images of that branding on cans. Decent amount of merchandise. I do like the images on their active Instagram account, often featuring food from the Wicked Wood pizza place which frequents the brewery, although there's no overall image strategy. Branding gets a 3.
We did not actually write down the cost, but noted it was about average. Price gets a 3. Overall, a nice, pleasant place to have a tasty brew and chill.
