Richter Aleworks is located in a strip mall along a busy road in Peoria. There is some outdoor seating along the sidewalk. There was only one other customer when we arrived. Ambiance gets a 2.
Their selection is decent in numbers, however not a large variety - no lagers, pisners etc. but then again, it is called 'aleworks'. We both sampled quite a few beers, but didn't find anything we liked. Tim and I ended up both getting a Blueberry Sour from Front Porch Brewing, breaking our rule for having beer from the brewery vs. guest beers. He rated it a 3.5/5 in Untapped. Selection gets a 3.
We did not see any brew specific branding in the in tap room nor on their website, which appeared to be still under construction, with just basic information available. The Instagram account is a bit more active, and is used mainly to post information about the weekly food truck. Branding gets a 2.
We paid $7 for the 13oz pour of the sour, which is about average. Prices gets a 3. Overall, there's definitely room for improvement for this fairly new brewery.
