Right in the heart of Palm Springs is a taproom for La Quinta Brewing Co. We were able to get a seat and enjoy the sun in their street side patio, right on North Palm Canyon Drive. Amazing people watching. Super friendly bartender. Ambiance gets a 4.
La Quinta has ten of their own brews, and ten additional guest brews. They offer a wide variety, from lagers to porters and several sours. I had the Poolside Blonde, a Blonde Ale. Tim had the Blonde Date, a fruit beer made with dates, and rated it a 3.5 out of 5 in Untapped. Selection gets a 4.
La Quinta has an interesting company logo, and while they do have individual images for their brews, they are hard to see on their tap list. Their merchandise was posted with clothespins to the side of the bar, and featured that company logo only. Their website as well as their Instagram is visually interesting, however neither leverages the cool tap branding as much as it could. The sticker was $1.25. Branding gets a 3.
Price pints ranged from $6.50 for a lager to $8 for the sour. Price gets a 2.
Overall a great location, and we lucked out with the weather for sure. Luckily we brought our pint koozies with us!
