Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Insurgent Brewing Co.

Insurgent Brewing Co: Chino Valley, AZ

Barefoot German Blond and Lines & Punishment IPA

About 24 minutes north of Prescott, AZ you'll find Insurgent Brewing Co.  Insurgent is in a renovated warehouse, with really cool artwork.  We always love an open garage door, where we were able to enjoy the 50 degree weather a bright sun. Ambiance gets a 4.

As for selection, there were 16 taps, with mostly Ales, IPAs and a few Stouts.   I had the Lines & Punishment IPA, flavored with lime zest, while Tim had the Barefoot German Blond, which he rated 3.5/5 on Untapped.  Selection gets a 3.

We found no individual brew images shown in the tap room nor on the limited merchandise.  Their website is decent, and there you will find images for each of the brews.  They actually have two Instagram sites, however for one there were no posts and for the other very few with no overall design strategy.  A sticker was $2.   Insurgent has so much branding potential, however at this writing I'm giving them a 2.

We paid $6 for each of our 16oz taps. Prices gets a 3.  Overall a great find kind of in the middle of the desert.
