Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Hell 'n Blazes Brewing Company

Hell 'n Blazes Brewing Company; Melbourne, FL

Georgia Bound Hefeweizen

Following a visit to Tim's dad in Winter Haven, FL, we took a few days to return to Cocoa Beach, one of our favorite areas in Florida.  We have friends that moved to Cocoa a few years prior, and they were excited to bring us to Hell 'n Blazes Brewing Company.  They serve food and had recently started a full bar, but didn't seem organized yet to manage it.

The indoor space is nicely decorated, however no outdoor seating.  The place was pretty full, with a good buzz about it.   Ambiance gets a 3.

The brewery has fairly large selection, with a wide variety of flavors.  I had the Crane Creek Cerveza, an American light lager flavored with lime (only $5.50 a pint) and Tim had the Georgia Bound Hefeweizen.  He rated it 4.5 out of 5 in his Untapped App.  Selection gets a 4.

There are no individual images/branding, sticking with the company logo on each of the brews. They charged $2 for stickers.  They had quite a few t-shirts, flannels, hats and decor as far as merchandise.  Their website is fairly robust, and while they do have an Instagram site, it's somewhat active but no real design strategy.  Branding gets a 2.

Pints were 6.50, pretty average for the area.  Price gets a 3.

While we don't generally discuss food, the flatbread we shared was quite good, and the burger our friends had was very large, and they said, very tasty.  Overall, a good option for a cold beer while in downtown Melbourne.
