While visiting Tim's dad in Winter Haven, FL, we had quite a few errands to run in between doctor appointments. Tim has been to Grove Roots Brewing quite a few times and we finally were able to go together.
The indoor space is nicely decorated, with ample outdoor seating. The place was empty when we arrived, but filled up quickly with a group of Surfing Santa's gathering. Who wouldn't love that in the middle of December? Ambiance gets a 3.
The brewery has fairly large selection, with a wide variety of flavors. I had the Rind and Shine, a citrus witbier and Tim had the Grapefruit Eyes IPA. He rated it 3.75 out of 5 in his Untapped App. Selection gets a 4.
Their flagship beers have very thoughtful individual images and branding matching their mission. They charged $2 for stickers. As for merchandise, there were some t-shirts with the company logo, not a ton. Their website is fairly robust. Their Instagram site is fairly active with a decent visual design strategy. Branding gets a 3.
Pints were $6 with a few stouts coming in at $8. Price gets a 3. Overall, a nice place to have a cold beer on a warm December day.
