Winter 24: A Month in Texas

Red Crow Brewing Company

Red Crow Company; Olathe, KS

On our way south to pick up our trailer for our first 'snow bird' winter, we stopped in Olathe, Kansas.  We lucked out finding Red Crow Brewing Company just about a mile from the hotel we stayed at.  It was early January so outdoor seating not really an option however it was very spacious inside, so we felt comfortable going in (this was during pandemic).

Tim enjoyed an Essie (Sour) and a Donna (American Wheat), while I first had a margarita, then the Loretta (Kansas Lager).  All of the beer was excellent, with friendly service and average pricing. Tim gave the Sour a 4/5 in his UnTapped app.

While many breweries have decent food from food trucks, this is the first time we're going to mention the food since it was amazingly tasty.  But then again, that could have been due to a long day and splitting a sandwich for lunch.  We split an order of roasted red pepper hummus, which was pretty good but the Southwest Chicken wraps were spectacular.  The food truck was "Casual Foodie".

As for branding - each of the brews have a woman's name...didn't see any direct correlation or information about why.  On their website each brew also has a design.  They do have a website that appears mostly up to date.
